Helen Hayes is cold towards Alf. She is just as callous as Alf is towards the Saints she creates. She admits to Carpenter that she hates her job and if she lives she'll quit.[1]
Background[]
Helen tells Carpenter, while begging for her life, that it was her and Roger who released Eliza. She has been working at the sub-station for a year and a half. When she is asked if she would willingly give up her comfort and citizenship to escape her contract, her silence provides Carpenter with all the information she needs to kill her like her colleagues.[1]
